시각디자인학과에서 는 매 학기 말에 '박사과정 연구계획 공개발표(연구 계획 발표: 지도 교수 매칭)'를 진행합니다. 

2026학년도 1학기에는 6월 2일 화요일 17:30 A동 104호에서 진행되며, 모든 박사과정 학생이 참석할 수 있습니다.

※필독※ 

연구계획발표의 목적은 지도교수 매칭을 위한 것입니다. 모든 박사 학위과정 입학생은 입학 후 1년 이내 (3월 입학생 12월 이전, 8월 입학생 6월 이전)에 연구계획 발표와 심사를 거쳐야 합니다. 지도교수 매칭에 실패한 학생들은 다음 학기에 수정하여 개선된 계획서를 다시 발표합니다. 연구계획발표 전 지도교수 매칭이 이루어진 경우에도, 발표는 필수적으로 참여해야 합니다.

기존에 진행하던 모든 전임 교수가 참여하여 평가하는 ‘공개발표회‘는 2025년 1학기부터 지도교수가 3인의 내부 심사위원을 구성하여, 최소 한 학기 동안, 최소 2차례 이상 진행하는 ‘예비 심사’라는 새로운 제도로 변경하여 운영합니다. 자세한 운영 방법은 시각디자인전공 박사내규(학과공지 검색, 확인 필수)와 지도교수의 안내에 따르기 바랍니다.

아직 지도교수를 찾고 있는 학생, 또는 이미 지도교수가 있지만 연구계획 발표를 통해 공식적으로 학과에 본인 연구를 소개하지 않은 학생은 박사과정 초기에 연구 주제 확정 및 지도교수 배정을 위해 이 발표를 반드시 수행해야 합니다.

이번 학기에 연구계획을 발표하고자 하는 학생은 아래 사항을 꼭 확인해주세요.

2. 연구계획 자료 제출 마감: 5월 21일(목) 자정(23:59)까지

3. 제출 자료:

- 연구 계획을 담은 공개발표신청서(양식 본 글에 첨부)

- PDF 형식의 상세 발표 자료 (PPT 또는 Keynote 불가; 웹링크 포함 불가)—연구 내용을 명확하고 충실하게 정리한 것

- 이전 연구 활동을 포함한 자기소개 자료 (실기 작업 이미지, 논문 초록 또는 출판물 링크 포함 가능)

   * 모든 발표는 한 대의 노트북으로 진행되므로, 사전에 모든 자료를 준비해야 합니다.

- 교수님들의 질문과 피드백을 대비 준비 (주로 한국어, 일부 영어 가능)

발표는 일반적으로 한국어로 진행됩니다. 영어 구사력이 한국어보다 더 높은 경우, 영어로 발표할 수 있습니다. 다만, 영어로 발표하는 경우여도 피드백은 한국어로 제공될 수 있으니 이 점을 참고하여 준비해주시길 바랍니다.

발표 후, 발표를 한 학생들과, 참관한 학생들은 모두 퇴장하고, 교수님들이 발표 내용을 논의합니다. 발표 결과는 보통 다음 주 중에 공유됩니다. 

불합격 시, 다음 학기에 수정 및 보완하여 개선된 발표를 진행해야 합니다. 합격 시, 지도교수를 찾기 위해 교수님들에게 연락을 시작할 수 있으며, 해당되는 경우에는 교수의 추천이 함께 제공됩니다.

아직 지도교수가 없는 학생은 연구계획이 학과 내 지도 가능 교수진의 전문 분야와 맞도록 준비해야 합니다. 교수진은 다양한 분야를 지도할 수 있지만, 모든 교수의 전문 영역 외 주제는 지도 확보가 어려울 수 있습니다. 가능한 지도교수를 사전에 확인하시기 바랍니다. 클래스넷에서 논문 지도를 할 수 있는 교수진 정보를 확인할 수 있습니다.(논문지도가능 교원현황 카테고리 확인)

참석자 행동 지침 : 발표 후 바로 퇴장하지 말고 끝까지 참석해 주세요. 이는 동료 박사과정 학생들의 연구를 배우고 서로를 응원할 수 있는 소중한 기회입니다.

To all PhD students in Visual Communication Design:

The VCD department holds a public PhD proposal presentation (연구 계획 발표: 지도 교수 매칭) at the end of every semester. This semester (2026-1), it will take place on Tuesday 2 June 2nd at 17:30 and is open to all PhD students. Students who wish to attend without presenting should register here: Register here

Students still seeking a supervisor, and those who already have one but have not yet introduced themselves via a proposal presentation, are expected to complete this requirement early in their PhD journey to confirm research projects and/or secure supervision. 

If you wish to present your proposal this semester, please take note of the following:

-Application card (공개발표신청서, attached file in this Announcement) detailing your proposed PhD research

-Extended presentation slides in PDF (not PPT or Keynote, no weblinks) that clearly and substantially outline your intended research

-Biographical introduction including references to prior work, which may include images of practice-based work or abstracts/web links to prior publications

-Prepare a 5-minute summary of your extended presentation for the live session

-Submit condensed slides in PDF by  Monday 1 June at 17:30 (all presentations run from one laptop, so we need to compile all presentation slides in advance) Submit to Professor Anneke Coppoolse annekecoppoolse@hongik.ac.kr

-Be ready for questions and comments from professors (mainly in Korean, some in English)

-Presentations are typically in Korean; if your English fluency is higher, you may present in English, though feedback may still be offered in Korean (be prepared for this).

-After the session, students and audience members will leave so professors can discuss proposals. Results will typically be shared in the following week. In case of a fail, an improved version should be presented the next semester. In case of a pass, students may contact professors for supervision, with recommendations provided where relevant.

-Students without a supervisor should ensure their research proposals align with available professors’ expertise. While our faculty covers a broad range of topics, projects outside all professors’ expertise may make supervision difficult. Familiarise yourselves with potential supervisors.
