  Institute of Continuing Education, in an ever-rapidly developing information society, was established in July 2002 to provide diversified educational opportunities to rural residents as well as students who desire to take courses beyond their major specialties.

  Institute of Continuing Education offers practical language courses and a variety of special-interest classes that are easily and conveniently available to students and local residents at large. Each term lasts 15 weeks, the equivalent of one regular university semester.

  Language courses include English, Japanese and Chinese conversation, and classes such as Pottery, Beginning Computer Graphics, Children's Art Education and Western Painting are offered. All coursed are taught by Hongik University professors to guarantee the highest quality of education. Registered students are also able to have access to all of the facilities on campus including the library.
